A Letter from our President

Dear Treasury and Finance Professional,

We look forward to delivering another year of events presented by subject experts covering topical issues for Treasury and Finance Professionals across Ottawa’s various organizational sectors. We hope our events will also continue to provide you the opportunity to connect with your peers and perhaps make some new connections!

Our November 15th, 2017 luncheon event featured our keynote speaker,            Kevin Kolliniatis, Partner, Audit, KPMG LLP with the presentation titled: "Cybersecurity and Payment Fraud: A Challenge for Treasury". The presentation provided a comprehensive overview of the current cybersecurity risks facing today's organizations and highlighted effective strategies to mitigate these vulnerabilities.

We will commence the New Year with our premiere Canadian Economic Outlook Update Panel event. Vic Kariappa, Managing Director, Government, Crown Corporations, Insurance and Financial Markets, RBC/Royal Bank will return as Moderator to be joined by this year's panel guest participants: Michael Gregory, Deputy Chief Economist & Head of U.S. Economics/Managing Director, BMO Capital Markets; and Ian Lee, Associate Professor, Sprott School of Business, Carleton University. The annual economic panel discussion promises to be engaging and informative by focusing on an in-depth analysis of the current key economic drivers and central bank rate policy impacting the forecasted growth of the Canadian and global economies.
